You are working with management and the farm owner to plan the establishment of a new orchard. To do this, you need to participate in planning for the establishment, including scheduling activities, hiring contractors, purchasing tools and equipment, and hiring additional staff if necessary.
Your new orchard needs to be placed in a way that maximises sunlight, has good drainage, and fits into the surrounding environment. You must plan the physical orchard layout and oversee the beginning of construction to be sure it is properly performed.
Before your orchard can be built, you may need to prepare the land. You need to oversee any land preparation activities, and ensure that the goals are met effectively and efficiently.
Your orchard needs an irrigation system. You need to plan and oversee the installation of the entire system, and ensure that the system is optimally placed and correctly installed.
Young trees need to be carefully handled before being planted in the orchard, and you need to make sure that they are kept healthy before being planted, especially upon receival from the nursery and during the transport to the orchard.
You need to oversee the planting of the citrus trees in your new orchard, to make sure they are planted properly, in the correct spacing, and are not damaged during the process.
Young trees need to be cared for after planting to ensure that they settle and grow into healthy trees with a long life. You need to oversee their care to ensure that they are healthy, protected from pests and diseases, and sufficiently irrigated.
